SW
Senses of Wildness videos
These videos were produced for educational purposes and this site was developed to ensure that only the selected videos will be shown, Many video sites such as YouTube and Vimeo suggest other videos that may or may not meet a teacher's needs. My concern is that some of these suggested videos that play after your selected video on those sites may not be suitable for the student audience. (Full disclosure here, almost all of my videos are posted on my YouTube Channel . If you use the play lists I've setup the videos that follow will my work.)
Below are some of my older videos but I strongly recommend that you go to my SW YouTube Resources page for a complete selection of videos. From that page you can use the drop down menu to go to SW Video Play Lists or to the SW page featuring Videos by Curriculum.
But the videos on DaveTaylorWildlife.com will only play one at time (or at least that is my hope) and will not suggest other videos.
The viewer must select the next one. My hope is that this helps provide a safe and secure experience for teachers, students and others.
So far the bulk of the videos on this site are about 1 minute long and have no narration. At the end of these videos you will find an information page related to the content of that video, Recently I've begun posting narrated videos that are longer, contain both natural sounds and music.
You will find narrated videos mixed in with the other videos however in the future this might change. All of the Africa videos are narrated at this time. However I would strongly suggest that you use SW Video Play Lists or SW Videos by Curriculum.
The advantages to using those links to access my video collection is that they are up-to-date and you can select to play or or more videos on the play lists knowing that only those videos will play.
In the blog pages you will find further information on many of the featured species. I've begun embedding videos as well as images and on my YouTube channel you will find additional information about the video.
New videos will posted as they are created. These are not static sites.
Enjoy,
Dave Taylor
