Recently I was approached by Talk of the Town, and African Oasis Safaris (www.africanoasissafaris.com) to see if I was interested in leading another safari to East Africa. We talked and then via emails we finalized an itinerary that I think meets the qualities I look for in a truly remarkable Luxury Safari.
They are as follows:
As you may or may not know the last five or six safari’s I’ve led have followed Tanzania’s Northern Route. It has been awhile since I’ve ventured into Kenya (2006). This safari marks a return to that country. In speaking with the safari operator, I was impressed with what she had to say about the changes to the safari experience in Kenya in the past few years. I was excited about the new accommodations and new opportunities to view wildlife that were not there when I last visited the country. Of course the best is still there. With my input I think she has designed a really diverse and interesting trip. Check out their website and the other websites below.
This safari is in August 2024.

This safari is in August 2024.
- The weather is cooler (but in the north still hot).
- The Great Migration is in Kenya’s Maasai-Mara. This offers us a good chance to see a river-crossing (but no guarantees).
- Coincides with Ontario’s summer vacation period.
