This course has a few assignments I ask you to complete. These assignments are designed to help you improve your skills as a photographer. On the Monday before each class I would ask you to send one picture for evaluation to [email protected]. I will share these 13 images with others in the class so that they may browser them before class.
When sending pictures please ensure that they are no more than 7 inches in diameter and are saved at 72 pixels per inch. They should be no larger than 750 K. If you cannot resize the image than bring the image with you to class on a data stick (thumb drive). If doing so please arrive about 10 minutes before class to allow me time to download to the computer.
All assignments must follow the same rules:
- They image must be of a natural subject. No domesticated plans and/or animals allowed.
- The image must not include any human artifacts (roads, fences, buildings, poles or other signs of human beings).
- All images must be taken between October 12 and November 2nd 2016.
- All images must be taken by you.
Assignment 1: Between October 12 and October 28th take only one picture per day (with the exception of the field trip of course.) Bring your five best daily images to class on November 2nd on a thumb drive.
Assignment 2: II. On the weekend of October 15th take three images for submission of the waterfall we visit. One must be vertical. One must be at a slow shutter speed and one must incorporate a foreground feature. Yes, I know you could combine all three requirements into one image but I am still looking for three waterfall images from you.
2: 2. On the weekend of October 15th take two images for submission of birds we see on our field trip.
Bring these five images with you to class on the 19th.
Assignment 3: III. From the zoo shoot select five images that represent a theme and bring them to class on November 2nd.
We will discuss all assignments in class. If for any reason you cannot make a field trip the expectation is that you will visit the site(s) or a similar site in place at your own schedule. Assignments due dates are not flexible.
